Telstra Community Meeting 

Residents of Hawley Beach, Port Sorell, and Shearwater have recently raised concerns with me regarding ongoing issues with mobile connectivity. Your feedback has been invaluable in helping drive real improvements for our community.

Over recent months, I have taken these concerns to Telstra on multiple occasions. In response, Telstra confirmed two major upgrades designed to improve mobile coverage in our region:

• Port Sorell upgrade
• Wesley Vale tower upgrade

Despite these upgrades, many residents have continued to report limited or unreliable mobile service. I appreciate the time community members have taken to share these experiences.

In light of this continued feedback, I contacted Telstra and requested that a community meeting be held. This meeting will give residents the opportunity to:

• Share their personal experiences with mobile coverage
• Raise ongoing or unresolved concerns
• Hear directly from Telstra about the upgrades, expected improvements, and next steps
